Contract management is about ensuring that a contract, or a series of contracts, are executed as agreed upon and that both we and the supplier comply with the terms and conditions defined in the contract. The keys to successful contract management are to identify items that are of utmost importance to us, to agree on how compliance will be evaluated, and to provide a process for resolving problems that arise along the way. Contracts should be written to be as comprehensive as possible, but should only be entered into on the belief that the contract will not be needed.
